Ys (193l s3)
Needing a parts listing and exploded view of this compressor and also for the oil seperator. I have tried without any success to locate online and also with Baltimore.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Ys (193l s3)
Hi BSK60
Are you losing the oil level in the sep due to low loads and/or short cycling ??

Re: Ys (193l s3)
Gingerair,
Actualy the other matching unit on site has those same problems but I had a quick conversation with the maintenance man and found the cooling tower was having problems and they had the fan on manual. That explains that!!
The unit in question has an oil leak at the main body gasket and I will have to split and replace the gasket. I've never had to split the casing and am trying to get an exploded view to get an idea of what I'm getting (volunteered) for.
The parts list and exploded view for an S3 compressor is really just for my personal library.

Re: Ys (193l s3)
Due to the comp being on the evap they loose oil into it on start up & under low loads struggle to bring it back. There is apparently a piece that can be fitted in between the comp & evap that catches this oil & makes it easier to return to the compressor, i don't know if this is fitted as standard to more recent models.
Would be surprised if the main body gasket was leaking, has the comp been disasembled before ? Have attended a site before that they reported the compressor was leaking oil from the main gasket & it was just the outlet from the shaft-seal that's positioned at the bottom of the comp. If a drain/catchpot isn't fitted oil ends up on the bottom of the comp & ontop of the evap...

Re: Ys (193l s3)
Gingerair,
The body gasket I was referring to is on the oil seperator. The main body gasket has a leak and I will have to replace. I've never had to open up one before and was hoping for an exploded view to review and plan off of.

Re: Ys (193l s3)
Quick update,
Well now I can say I have split an oil seperator on one of these and there really is nothing to it.
Seal replacement went normaly.
I appreciate the responses and hope all are doing well.
