Matching Compressor with the coil.
A friend told me his 4 ton condenser (compressor) for his residential A/C unit died. His brother told him he would give him (free) a condenser unit but he had no coil to match it. I suggested he replace the coil to match the condenser as common practise but his brother said it wasn't necessary.
Would there be much of a problem installing a 5 ton condenser unit with a 4 ton coil?
Thanks for any assistance

Re: Matching Compressor with the coil.
As I understand, you want to replace your 4 ton coil and mount 5 ton coil. You will have bigger superheat in this case. If you want to stay in the same conditions you should have an invertor fan in your condenser unit.
