Drinking water and copper
Dear Friends,
I have a question. Using copper pipe (as evaporator) inside of drinking water steel tank for cooling drinking water is correct ? or using copper metal in drinking water tank is dangerous for health (as result of cuprous oxide) ??
Thanks for sharing your knowledge in advance.

Re: Drinking water and copper
Hi
Copper in drinking water isn't good for health.
Also steel is a same.
It should be stainless steel jar
You can put Copper behind the stainless steel
And water inside of jar.
Or use both of them stainless steel.

Hi
Yes
In Australia and in New Zealand in old buildings they used copper pipe for cold and hot water.
But in some countries it is forbidden.

Re: Drinking water and copper
Copper is used in homes here and is probably the first choice, although not used as much as is was because of the expense. PEX is used mostly now because of the lower expense for Labor and Materials.
When Copper is used now you must use Lead-Free Solder and Non-Corrosive Flux.
