Chilled water make up tank
Can anyone tell me what level a make up water tank should top itself up to? I've done very little on chilled water air con systems. It's currently set up to top itself up to about 10%, but the building sparky keeps wanting to set it to 35 or 50%.

Re: Chilled water make up tank
I am a bit confused as the why an electrician is telling you what the water level should be in a make up tank.
The level should be whatever is required to ensure that no air is drawn into the system on initial pump start up unless the system connection is at the ideal balance point when the level will not change.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK
