chiller cooling capacity
hey guy, i m confuse with this.... hopefully can get some explanation...
- system cooling capacity KW
- compressor capacity KW
- expansion valve kw?
for example if chiller capacity 100KW, what is the relation between compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator....
can share some formula & calculation for this?
thanks...

Re: chiller cooling capacity
100 kW cooling, +/- 3 COP = 33 kW compressor capacity or 25 kW at a COP of 4
COP is a factor of the working conditions (LP versus HP)
Expansion valve is 100 kW at a certain evaporation capacity and a certain subcool and a DP over the valve
There are no formulas nor calculations for this, only manuals/selection tables of the different manufacturers. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Re: chiller cooling capacity
thanks a lot... bro...
means we can see the system cooling KW from the expansion device... right!!!!

Re: chiller cooling capacity
Yes and no, you only can make a rough guess because the expansion system can regulate its capacity within a certain margin.
