It's not the same without Romania in it.
Spain looks good, and Czech Republic also. I wish one of these two take the trophy."do not follow where the path may lead. go instead where there is no path and leave a trail" R.W.Emerson

Re: world cup football
Hi,
we are there, but playing with Brasil it seems too hard to win , or that was just bad luck, who knows?
Hope we can do better later on
Best regards,
Josip

Re: world cup football
Spain played just brilliantly. The Germans however gave us a lack lustre but polished performance.
Brasil were dissapointing, they are like an accelerator pedal, they press down when the pressure is on, otherwise, they are laid back.
England play a well tried, hard game always. With the pressure mounting , things will get a little more exciting now.
Im looking out for the Spaniards, and am wishing England all the way

Sorry Temprite
Pat on the back for the Aussies.
They did good, all all credit to them.
Maybe, a team to watch out for in the future as their game matures

You learn something new everyday. After Ghana's win, I overheard "The seppoes are out" in a pub. I got the slang explained to me by a local Brit.

Re: world cup football
England are this years winners......
Ive watched all the games so far, its about temperament.
Brazil have not impressed me, they have a cavalier attitude and their "stars" are a depleted lot way past their prime.
The England team are " primed" superbly and fit the bill.

Re: world cup football
Just for the record, I don't watch football or have any real interest in the sport. However, I was having a "couple" of beers tonight in the nearest hostelry to my abode and happened to see the penalty shoot out.
Not calling anyone etc. but - is that the best they can do ?
Played 120 minutes and then it's all decided on penalty kicks?
Come on ! you can't complain if they can't do it in 120 minutes and then start crying because they are now going home.
I'm more concerned about what the WAGS will do now.

Re: world cup football
I have watched a lot of the games this year and I have to say what a load of codswallop. All the teams looked like they were playing for draws. And England, dear god ..... with all that tallent, they have played crap. Someone needs to burst a few English player bubbles and get them to start playing like a team.

I must admit, I watched the France Brazil game, and the French played superbly
Im just upset because my , my country lost
and, if only Rooney had kept his composure.
Too many if,s
If only Crouch had more support
If only there were more strikers
If only Beckham was not injured

That is where you are wrong my friend. it was never a red card offence. however a certain nameless individual who winked at his coach just afterwards will be made to suffer at the hands of all English fans when he returns to Man U. next season, if not Man u. fans then certainly everone they play. if he comes back LOL.
Enough said.Takes a licking, keeps on ticking.

What is all the fuss about. Why not eliminate the game all together and just have a penalty shoot out? How can anyone be a legitimate world champion based on 2 players taking turns at each end? To say nothing of the plater who tripped on his Tutu and got his team into the finals with a penalty goal. And the head butt! What a dive. Could anyone seriously imagine a Rugby,Gridiron. Australian Rules or Gaelic footballer going down from that nudge in the chest? I doubt it would happen in Netball!
