NH3 Smell
My former employer called me today. His main NH3 guy broke his leg.
They do maintenance on a cold store facility near here.
There was a leak on a screw machine a few days ago. It seeped into an office, so they ventilated the space.
Now the office occupants still complan of a lingering smell.
We NH3 people know this is not uncommon, even when there is no NH3 left.
(I had employees walk out once, even though we had not charged the new system yet)
Does anyone have a idea of a way to scrub smell from a room? I have never used anything to do that. Just the effort might be enough to solve the problem.

Re: NH3 Smell
Lots of fresh air has always worked for me.
I don't know what ventilation you have in the affected room.
I cannot imagine what scent to use?
But good luck anyways.

Re: NH3 Smell
If there is a carpet get it deep cleaned, while they are at it clean the seats and wipe down the desks, that should remove any lingering smell and get you back in the good books!
Mostly found in the southern part of this green and pleasant land.

Re: NH3 Smell
A little humour from Rob NHLVR.
But he may have a good point?
The product shown is one of the U.K.'s most popular Air Fresheners / Scented Clothing additives.
I am not sure whether you get the same in U.S.A.
But I bet you have something similar?

Re: NH3 Smell
I appreciate the humour. I was hoping to find something more exotic than looking like an idiot spraying room deodorizer around. Maybe just fill a spray bottle with a custom mix of water and food coloring.
And I have a can of that around the house. They do sell it here.

Re: NH3 Smell
Hi NH3LVR
I believe CO2 will neutralise NH3 to form ammonium carbonate. Might be worth a try if all else fails.
