With a Heavy Heart.
It was a Sad Day today Guys..
I had to admit defeat on a little project I had been saving up!
A while ago a Australian Lady gave me her Frigidaire Refrigerator.
Which her Grand Parents had purchased in Melbourne in the early 60's.
Bringing it back over here when they returned sometime?
The comp still ran although I had to look up the 18 ounces of Dichlorotetrafluroethane
Which is R14 apparently.
The door seals were shot but every thing else appeared to work.

Shame but maybe it was a dream to far, to resurrect it?
Its interesting to see the internal defrost switch and old fashioned levelling phial in the shelf etc..

Re: With a Heavy Heart.
That's kind of you Chemi.
I did not realise that these refrigerants were still available.
Not to be used in the UK anyway.
I took it down the local recycling plant.
Gone I am afraid.

Re: With a Heavy Heart.
Don't think its R14, it has a critical temp of -45C I'd bet its R12, so R12 drop in would work.
I have an old Frigidaire chest freezer for restoration, not done much to it so far!Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)
