    Copland scroll discharge temp thermistors

Keep finding Copland scrolls, running with the discharge thermistors either disconnected or hanging off pipes assuming because they are going out on overheat. Is there an issue with these ?

    Hi
yep! it seems that they are not fit to working for long periodes at high temps, and after a while fail for no reason ,
so you find them bridged or disconnected,a while back we had the same issue with carrier reciprocating comps with a similar issue!!
    good luck

I havent had too many failures, but I have found lots of them that fell off. The clip seems to loose tension and they fall off. Metal tape works to hold them on the Discharge line.

never had one to fail... seen them cutting in and out when compressor injection cooling isnt working.. seen them linked out to get it going but if they checked it properly the would have relised injection cooling wasnt working
