chilled water pump power tripping
Hi All,
Recently i changed bearing for the pump, when i try to switch it on the power trips. kindly let me know what could cause the problem

Check the resistance of the between the 3 windings of the motor, it should be the same. if not, you need to rewire or replace the motor.

As chemi-cool states check motor windings but also check that motor and cables are clear to earth and that following the re-bearing job the pump still runs free with no tight spots.
It may be an idea to check that your incoming phases are intact and that the contactor and overload sets are operational.

i would make sure the rotor and immpeler are free, and not locked ,before doing anything else !!

Is it a thermal protection or the fuse is tripping ? If it is a thermal protection is well calibrated ? What kind of pump is it ? Star delta ? Direct start ? More data please !
