Trane Techview Database error
I am trying to connect a Win98 laptop with TV Ver. 10.01 to a RTAC300 year 2005 with the flat cable LLID.
I get an error at connection Database Revision Error.. Database is too old Get latest DB.
The right hand column of TV shows JRE ver. 1.4.1.02 and Required ver. 1.4.0. em gateway 4, Prod DB ver 3, config DB ver 1.8.5.1.
It also shows chiller info RTAC 38.02 CFG.13
Framework 5. , Lang.0, timestamp dec16 2009 ???
This laptop has hooked up to RTAC 275's of the 2008 vintage and Bound sensors.
Any ideas on what DB is too old. And where do I get the right DB.
The laptop is old , but has the 9 pin serial connection and used for nothing but this type of stuff. All help appreciated

Re: Trane Techview Database error
Hi,
Try this link to get new software: http://trane.com/Commercial/DesignAn...ew.aspx?i=1435
You will need at least Windows XP SP3. If you don't have serial port use IOGEAR GUC232A USB to serial adapter.
I think that RTAC 38.02 belongs to TV version higher than 10.01

Re: Trane Techview Database error
CV , I downloaded that last night, didn't realize it has to be XP SP3. I did notice somewhere on Trane page for a download for the RTAC program MP30 (I think) and was wondering if that was the DB that was "out of date"??
I hate to change a laptop for win XP if WIN 98 does the job

Re: Trane Techview Database error
Hi,
Don’t install the new software. (TV + SP1)
Make an image of your laptop, then install the software.
If it doesn’t work then upgrate to XP SP3.
If after you need WIN98 in your laptop put the image in.
Or if you give me access to a rapid share space I can upload for you TV 12.01 SP3 which includes RTAC 38.02
