caravell d60/125 error code flashes E1 whilst beeping open fronted chiller

    Hi
Please help me, I have a caravell open front chiller , model D60/125 and everything seems to work fine, it cools down to desired temp and functions as the others do but on the display flashes "E1" and makes a beeping sound until the middle button (reset i think) is pressed. This will stay off then for a while then starts to beep again.
The flashing E1 stays on contantly.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Rob Carter

    Hi Rob.
Not sure on the exact controller you would have there but E1 for most controllers means probe 1 faulty. If there are 2 probes then you could try swapping the connections at the controller. If the probe is faulty then fault E2 should then appear. Alternatively you can measure probe resistance and match it to manufactures resistance/temperature table and check controller is supplying a voltage one of the sensor terminals.

If you go to the Hawco website, I think there is a graph with different sensor characteristics.

    Cheers,
    Andy.
