Undercounter Freezer Not Freezing
Hi, I have an undercounter freezer that turns the thermostat on for 30 seconds and off for 30 seconds. The fast freeze function has no affect. Could this be the thermostat? Hope someone can help, cheers regards Paul.

Re: Undercounter Freezer Not Freezing
if the freezer is jammed somewhere and it cant breath and has a condenser with fan the condenser might be clogged or mesure the amps on the compressor the windings might be shot and tripping on the overload and not the thermostat if it has a capacitor maybe that needs replacing. but if the fast freeze butn has no effect its most likely the compressor if you can save it do it if not replace it.

Re: Undercounter Freezer Not Freezing
An overload would stay off longer. I'm thinking low pressure control.

Re: Undercounter Freezer Not Freezing
come to think of it normaly if its a houshold freezer the compressor wouldnt start after a 30sec. run unless the valves are shot in any case you would still need a compressor change.

Re: Undercounter Freezer Not Freezing
compressor is siezing-not yet siezed hence ur getting 30 seconds of running then the klixon will reset after 20-30 seconds. household freezers dont have pressure switches
