cold store sliidng door & rapid door combination
In one of the projects the client is asking for Cold store sliding doors along with Rapid action Vertical doors to be fitted on the cold stores.
What I find is that the Cold store door frame is typically 150mm more than the clear opening in width on both the sides. So also the height is almost 300mm more than the clear opening height.
So logically the rapid door must be atleast 300mm more in width & 400mm more in height to avoid any fouling of the door frames. Is there any other solution like fixing the frames one above the other & to match the sizes?

Re: cold store sliidng door & rapid door combination
Hi smpsmp45
I installed a configuration as you mention in a meat cold room
The Fast Acting door (FAD) was located just in front of the sliding door. The manufacturer made a special insulated frame like a vestibule to accomodate the FAD.
The vestibule had a groove with brushes throught the slidding door moves. The brushes evoid the lost of cool when the SD is open.
The FAD comes with a UV light in the head to keep the fabric warm
You have to paid attention to the open a close contro system. Sometimes the lifttrunk open the FAD but the SD is not openned jet.
I hope it help
Regards
Gwapa
