ice not falling
My icemachine is doing a normal cycle but the problem is that when the ice level is reached it doesn't go on defrost but ices up covering up the defrost sensor. What could be the problem because i changed the electronic card.Low and high pressures are okay, compressor running fine

Re: ice not falling
Ice not falling
Probable cause;
a. Defrosting sequence - check if your timed defrosting is too low. Set time at least 3-5 minutes ahead by closing the liquid line first before defrosting media opens, this is to utilised the heat energy stored in the coil which loosen the frost/ice and an overflow valve to regulate the return of your system to have retention time of heat.
b. Defrosting line is too small and too long, need to counterchect installation
c. clogged defrosting media that restricting the duty; check strainers and valves opening (valve seats for solenoid valves).
d. Or extend defrosting time
By the way, what type of defrosing method used, the above idea is mostly for Hot gas and water defrosting

Re: ice not falling
The ice cube thickness sensor probally is faulty or your hot gas solenoid is burnt out

Re: ice not falling
I THINK YOU MEAN THE ELECTRONIC CARD IS P.C. BOARD.DID YOU CHANGED SAME P.C.BOARD.JUST CHECK THE SENSOR BY PUTTING WATER.IF SENSOR IS GOOD,AFTER FEW SECONDS ,THE HOTGAS SOLINOYD (FOR HARVEST)WILL BE ENERGISED.CHECK SOLINOYD COIL………………….

Re: ice not falling
1. check your liquid line solenoid valve is it close(de energise) when de-frosting kicks in
2. Check hot gas solenoid valve it is it energise when it is defrosting.
3. Check defrosting timer if it works
4. Some control philosophy have 2 timers on it. 1 to defrost(as per above, normally 5-10 mins) 2 to switch between more than 1 defrosting machines
5.If all else fails, check whether ur hotgas line is stuck with any impurities or your refrigerant could have condense in the line.
