Hi Jay
I presume from your question that you are having a little hassle?
I am an industrial fridge engineer and speaking from experience, we rarely have problems with HG defrost systems. The HG system is quick and very efficient (in comparison with electric!)
Don't know anything about the system you refer to though...how old is it? Is it an American system?

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HOT GAS SYSTEM FOR BLOOD STORAGE.
THE ELECTRIC DEFROST SYSTEMS WILL CAUSE THE ROOM TEMP
TO RISE DURING DEFROST. ALARMS WILL SOUND IF THE TEMPERATURE GOES UP TO QUICKLY.
WE WERE TOLD TO USE KRAMER'S HOT GAS SYSTEM.
KRAMER IS AN AMERICAN COMP.
