1954 Coca cola Fridge
Hi Guys
i will know more on Monday when I view the above fridge. However talking to the electrician that contacted me for help. Says that the condensing unit is modular and does not have pipework buried in insulation.
Which makes me wonder if a replacement condensing pack could be obtained.
Has anyone some experience on these and could advise as to where if any, spares could be purchased?
Its all original as it has a transformer to raise the voltage or lower from / to 240v / 110v.
I will obviously be able to inform you all more once I have viewed it.
But if anyone has been there and got the Teeshirt. Could i Pick your brains in advance.
Cheers Grizzly.

Re: 1954 Coca cola Fridge
I looked at one very similar a few years back. Was a faulty thermostat and the guy bought one himself and got it going. I linked it out to test and boy, that compressor was silent! It was a big thing but by all accounts bulletproof.
It already had a transformer on it so that had to be from the factory.
That's as much as I can offer, fingers crossed it's an easy fix.

Re: 1954 Coca cola Fridge
I might be wrong but they were rotor compressors and quite sturdy by all accounts.
Looking at it, it is a box with a door.
From the pictures I can't see why it could not be configured with a new system.
