Daikin floor mounted split -
Why does Daikin recommend a minimum 3m pipe run and what are consequences if it's say a 2m run?

Re: Daikin floor mounted split -
The system is charged for up to 25m so at 2m there is a risk of liquid coming back, you could recover charge and recharge with 2m worth.
Mostly found in the southern part of this green and pleasant land.

Re: Daikin floor mounted split -
I've seen larger splits (10kW size) make a drumming noise through the pipes, I think it's the pulsating of the compressor. A longer run sorted the problem so I guess it was something like the extra length help absorb the pulses. On smaller splits I've not seen it as a problem (saw one where the wall mount tails were piped directly to the outdoor).
LG had some units years back where you had to take some refrigerant out if the run was a certain length.
