Re: change *****
Worst case scenario you should do a deep evacuation of the system , maybe change oil and oil filter ( with the original synthetic oil and original oil filter) and it should work.
The pressures and temperatures of both gases are very similar , so it should work . all the best , Tzvi.

Re: change *****
Rfcont, why not use R407c if that was the original refrigerant?
Why you want to change it to R22?It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

The problem itself interesting
Transition from ***** R22 on R407c known as retrofit is in detail described in the literature and I would like to know return process just in any case
(besides R407c rather expensive stuff)Last edited by Rfcont; 18-09-2006 at 06:29 PM.

Re: change *****
Heard recently about a split a/c unit on r22, usual story, short of gas and fried compressor. changed r22 pot for r407 pot as all that was available at the time. charged r22, runs fine. how long will it last? who knows? but i suspect r22 will move synthetic oil around the system as happily as r407.
Takes a licking, keeps on ticking.
