hot gas high temperature
Dear All,
I am facing a problem with ammonia chiller always trip in high temperature hot gas.
our Mycom i160LL when it run 100 percentage load it will trip.50 percentage load it will run.so please suggest me what need to check.

Those are all excellent suggestions. I would add, there should also be a hand metering valve that feeds oil to the rotors. This oil essentially acts as a "seal" between the rotors and the casing. If there is not enough injection oil, you will have "blow by" and elevated discharge temperatures. Too much injection oil will reduce performance and use up hp. You might try opening this valve a bit more and seeing if oil temperatures drop noticeably when you do so.

maby the suction pressure drops by 100% and the compressor is out of range?

i open suction filter of this compressor it is cleaned and fixed it back same issue..

Believe most of these as packaged have economizer as brazed plate heat exchanger. If there is a regulator and solenoid between that and the compressor side port, I would check their operation especially if there is additional compressors on this same suction. If the side port takes on too much vapor as heat load in subcooling liquid, the machine will tend to overheat. Easy to check for most circuits: Close the vapor line to the sideport and see if the machine will run at 100% load.
