    hot gas defrost line sizing

    Hello Folks
Is there any guidelines or methods to size the defrost line for a multi evaporator multiplex system for evaporator (walk in rooms)
what is the recommended velocity range and pressure drop (temperature rise)?

    TIA

Velocity range as with all gasses... 8 to 12 m/s and 1 to max 2K equivalent pressure drop

    Hi Everyone
Hot gas defrost is a common method of removing ice buildup on the evaporator coil in a refrigeration system. The sizing of the hot gas defrost line depends on several factors, including the size of the evaporator coil, the amount of ice buildup, the refrigerant being used, and the length of the defrost line..
