Question Carrier Supra 750 -- Breaking fan clutches

    Good day to all,

I have this issue with the Carrier Supra 750 where it constantly breaks the fan clutch. The first time the main bolt in the middle got loose and the shoes and springs cut loose as well.
The second time, something similar happened, but this time only the inners got loose. I have noticed that all the time the shoes looked crystallized. I'm basically using new clutches because the first time I thought it was a defective one.

    Any suggestion? I´m desperate.

    Thank you.

Check your idlers they are seizing up. Remove them and spin them by hand, you will feel bad bearings. Unfortunately they have been on back order for months now. What i have done is disassembled the ideler and replaced the bearings with new ones. The part numbers are stamped on the bearing itself. I just order new ones from amazon, went with timken brand.
