Post Daikin addressing, how to find out malfunction units.

    Hi there,
Question about address identification in the site.
    I found malfunction on ITM.
But the error source is shown as group number like 1-00.

See attached documents, i know up to 16 IDUs can be assigned as one group address.
    But how about #0, #1 or #15?
How can i identify #1 unit on the wall? also how does Daikin system assign this Unit #??
    Is this random assignment?

hope, somebody specialist find my thread and getting kindly answer.

    Hi Kenny.

It's a random assignment unless they were set when commissioned - for that you need to wire a controller directly to it to set then take it out when finished.
If you have units grouped onto one remote (not ITM but a local remote as in your picture) you can use mode 43 from the controller figure out which address each indoor is. Select from the remote and check which fan is spinning.
This post explains how to do it: Daikin BRC1D52 Controller (refrigeration-engineer.com)

    Cheers,
    Andy.
Health and safety first..........unless I'm in a hurry.

Re: Daikin addressing, how to find out malfunction units.

    Thanks Tayters,

one more question, you said address is assigned randomly.
"Unless they were set when commissioned" means that i can set unit# manually on remote controller. correct?
    ALso i wonder attahced figure.

    Daikin said,
Can control one indoor unit(unit#0) through F1F2 and other indoor units will follows the unit#0 though P1P2 line.

    1. unit#0 is like a parents, i think. how do i set this parent unit?
Is this setting also done by controller forced fan on feature?
If #0(parents) would be set to another unit wiring with same P1P2 line, i can change parents unit by mode 45 "unit no transfer".

    2. i understand ITM can control units as 1-00, 1-01,,,,4-15.
iN the other hands, units on same P1P2 line follow smallest unit#, i guess.
For example, In this figure. If i control 1-15 units from ITM, unit#15 would follow Unit#0 status after while?

Because such a rule influences customer satisfaction, i would like to clarify the system configuration.
sorry for my a lot of questions.
