    Bending air con pipes

Hi. I have just bought a multi split air con system for my home and wanted some advice on bending the pipes. Not sure if its standard but one is 1/4" and the other is 3/8" and I am running it through my loft and out into the back garden.

The internal unit already has a downward 90 degree bend, but I want it to bend out of the back of the unit, (so coming towards the camera) and then put a 90degree bend upwards to go through the ceiling into the loft. To do this I would need to almost twist the downward part up (but worried it would twist the pipe)

Not knowing the usual flexibility of this diameter piping, do you think this will be ok?

I have attached a photo of how it is now. Looking forward to your advice.

    Re: Bending air con pipes

    Steveuk,
    Unit should come with manual.
If pipes supported when bending by hand, avoid kinking, so long radius bend.
Assume wall mounted unit, but not sure from picture.
How is drain from indoor unit going to be piped?
Best get a professional that can do electrical & refrigeration.
    Should be pressure tested
    evacuate air from pipe work.

    example of manual in link.
