Dear members,

we are a European manufacturer of ammonia absorption refrigeration plants. Currently we are working on a project where we want to set up for the first time one of our chillers in the USA (state of New York). Since now, in previous projects we have not been involved too much in the authorization process but our client is not very strong in this field and we want to be sure not to run in trouble once our chiller is delivered on side.

Can anybody resume quickly how does an authorization process works?

As far as we know we have to deliver the following certifications:
pressure vessels according ASME VIII
heat exchanger need a U-Stamp or if small ammonia quantity a UM-Stamp
piping according ASME B31.5
Pumps and fans with NEMA motors

Thanks and best regards from Germany
