Because there has been a loss of ozone at the top of our atmosphere which caused a hole some years ago and the world decided it should stop that happening before we all died of ultra violet exposure.

The law makers declared that we should no longer release ozone and COČ producing refrigerants into the atmosphere.

You will find many trained refrigerant handling trained technicians around so please call one and be sensible.

I am astounded by your lack of knowledge of the world around you.
