Daikin Low Temperature Split uni with E7 code

    Hi There!
Im trying to help a friend service his Daikin LT Split heater at home.
His external unit is a ERLQ008CAV3 while the main unit is EHBX08CA3V

Starting today, the unit stopped working showing E7-00, meaning that the external unit fan is not working properly.

After reading multiple forums, it looks like this is a common problema that usually involves replacing the fan, and 90% of the times the main board too (in the external unit).

But in his case, when he resets the unit, it all works fine (fan moving with no noises or drag) and heats for 5-10 minutes, after which it throws this E7-00 error. This leads me to believe the board is fine, and maybe the fan is too. He tried moving the fan by hand and it's quite smoth and silent

Any idea why it would work fine for 5-10 minutes and the err-out?

    Thanks in advance!

The fan motor is failing and I would recommend that you do it before it dies and takes out the pcb. Here is a link to the manual https://www.manualslib.com/manual/12....html?page=178

Ok, thanks for the manual and the advice
I went to meet my buddy and tried it myself. When the blades are installed, it looks like it turns smoothl, probably due to the momentum from the blades, which are heavy, but when I remove the blades, trying to spin the motor axis directly it doesn't feel so smooth. Given it's a brushless motor so there should be no drag at all.

We removed the motor and started trying to locate a source for it. Model number KFD-380-50-8c

We can't really find local suppliers here in Spain, only some abroad that show estimated delivery dates as late March....

    Thanks!
