GEA Grasso V series oil filter change

    Hi all,

    Hope you doing well.

I have a Grasso V series compressor that needs an oil filter change.

I noticed the oil level, in the sight glass, is higher than the oil filter.

With that being the case do people normally drain the oil until its just below the filter level or will taking out the filter without draining oil result in A LOT of oil coming out?

I was thinking of hooking a vacuum to the compressor and then removing the filter?

No need, filter on discharge of oil pump.
    Expect 1-2 litres

Don't forget that there is also a suction oil filter inside. Fitted with a bayonet.
