    Pin hole in Piping

    Hello all,
We are facing ammonia smell in compressor room. System was in operation when this happened due high discharge pressure up to 18bar. Now we are trying to trace this Pin hole but could not find. Any idea.
We have used soap solution but couldn't trace bubbling. We used phenolphethaline spray with water but it is giving false positive everywhere.

    rize1159,
Sulfur or sulfur sticks might help track it.
If you can turn plant off completely, you might be able to hear it.

Obvious places might be compressor shaft seal, relief valve not seating, valve gland leaking.

If you have access, a Ultrasonic leak detector can also help.
