    Cooling greenhouse

I am trying to cool a 60' x 24' x 10' greenhouse, it has double poly clear plastic inflated. I really only need a few degrees cooling, the temperature outside gets up to 32 degrees and I need it down to 26 degrees Celsius. I currently have evaporative cooling but it cannot keep up. I was thinking of using 2 chiller/freezer evaporators with 3 ton condensers do you all think this will work ?

Any help will be appreciated, I just want to know if I can use this type of cooling before I contact the professionals

    Thank you

What is the ambient temperature when you reach your 32 degrees?

    Hi
You can use 2 or 1 AC packages
    One = 30.000 BTU .
It is cheap and you can ran 2 of them or one them
And use one of them when weather is not hot and save a money .

The inside is about 38 to 40 degrees Celsius when outside is 32

Hard to believe it will not cool it down unless you have really humid weather.
Check these tips to eliminate basics like lots of open air vents to help with air circulation.

Refrigeration units would work I'd imagine as long as the design is correct and your wallet is correctly loaded, don't forget the running costs.
Alternatively is it possible to get some form of shading up?
Perhaps your existing cooling will handle it and might keep that wallet loaded to spend on the finer things in life?

    Cheers,
    Andy.

    Re: Cooling greenhouse

In am also having some issues with the moist conditions in the rainy season it causes bacterial growth and damages my crop so i think i will invest in sealing the greenhouse and maintaining temperature mechanically just thinking about the amount of cooling to start with

i have seen ppl using these cold room units in the greenhouse I need some help understanding the technology and if it would work in this situation my real problem is from 8 to 4 keeping the temp down during this time

Very simple, you only need to install a portable AC for greenhouse. I use it to cool a 300 square meter room, the cooling rate is very fast. You can also use the fan to make the temperature more uniform. Portable without hose is easier to move than equipment with hose.
