Scottsman CME 506 Ice Machine

Hi all!

I have Scottsman CME 506 Commercial Ice machine, The Compressor is not starting and Bin full light is flashing even after change an electronic bin full sensor. I found burnt wires going from auto electronic controller to Contactor and motor pump.
Any Ideas?

Blinking light? Usually light is steady, or off. If you remove the optic "eyes" where the ice breaks the beam, you will usually find they are very dirty. You can clean with a descaling solution (for ice machines) and gently clean the "eyes". Don't scratch them. Start there at least.

Burnt wires as in just discolored, or totally burnt to a crisp? Pictures would help.

The eye assembly are cheap enough to just replace, I think SRW had the cheapest Scotsman parts.

sounds like the controller is smoked, you will probably have to replace it and the burnt wiring plugs & wires

Thanks all for replies. I have replaced a set of eyes but bin full light is still blinks and steady. Is there any place I can find Scottsman Parts Cheaper or Used parts in USA?
