Carrier sensor problems really strange
Hi
keep getting this really strange fault
the main controller keeps alarming and say the inlet and outlet temp sensors have been swapped around but no one has worked on the chiller except me 6 months ago.
I have checked the connections and measured the resistance of the sensors both reading approx 6500k.
Has anyone got the technical menu for this chiller with the sensor values verses temp etc.
its a Carrier 30xa0352------e Ser no 12x614058
Any ideas or help will be helpfull
i was thinking of changing the sensors and maybe motherboard but that could open another can of worms etc.

Hi Brian
Thanks for the link very interesting i found the chiller and the manuals.
But no sensor values verses temps for the carrier probes.
Any ideas ?

Re: Carrier sensor problems really strange
Don't know what controller you have there and haven't got a real answer I'm afraid.
A quick read of one of the Prologue manuals simple states that all sensors are the same regardless of what they are measuring. Not very helpful is it?Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: Carrier sensor problems really strange
Try www.commercial.carrier.com then search litreture for 30XA its in the Controls manual. Although US don't use Pro Dialog the sensors are the same. Highly unlikely to be the sensors what temp are you reading when the unit runs. As for the main board again highly unlikely but if you change it you will need Carrier to download the software to the board.

Re: Carrier sensor problems really strange
Sorry to be late to comment , the fault shows that your outlet Cooler temperature is less than your inlet temp eg: inlet temp to cooler - 7c / outle temp 6c.....either of your sensors maulfunctioning...
