York Recip Millenium Chiller

Been to site to look at a chiller fault. Both circuits tripping out on LWT sens fault. No manuals on site. Looked at the PCB two red LEDs on top right both lit. Any ideas.

check the two wires sensor LWT,for loose connection , or corrosion , check its connector, or replace the connector with normal screw type connector, repair the wires if damage, or replace the thermistor.

Sorted it out now thanks. LW temp sensor had to be removed and the chiller run down to design temps before replacing it. I think it had gone off on a low current/MP/HP fault making the water temp rise too high

The latest EPROM´s resolve the problem as they allow the chiller to run longer before tripping, thus allowing the water temp to lower.

I've got manuals for most of the York machines, all the Carrier and Trane ones

mmm, ive had that fault a few times and changed several sensors. think i'll take the connecter out and solder straight through. - dont suppose anyone got the specific manual for the york 'ISN millenium recip pak' controller, its a bitch to get hold of.

it may not be the connection, water in the pockets kills the feckers as well, change them on a monthly basis on the YCAL chillers.
