Geothermal ground loop-multiple source/sink
I want to investigate an application for a customer. It would be a commercial application with a ground loop used for heat source and sink for multiple applications: space heat;space a/c; refrigeration (walkin cooler, walkin freezer), domestic hot water. Seattle area.
One ground loop. There is not much information about such an application..it would appear to be efficient if it could be balanced properly.

Hi bvis,
we are installing some systems at this time in england but he heat pumps are from ECR which is a florida company. the heat pump is connected to a Unico a/c system which obviously heat and cools and it also heats the hot water. works well too . web links are

Re: Geothermal ground loop-multiple source/sink
It can work perfectly, especially if you can recover heat from the walk-ins.
Try to condens as low as possible. Radiant hetaing if possible.
Ducts with grilles for the cooling
Have once a look at http://www.igshpa.okstate.edu/It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
