    condensing fan motor does not cut in



    Hi Lads
    the system exust air was restricted for an hour then the condensing fan motor stopped working, it is a portable aircon condensing fan motor not operating, i checked fan motor it is not burnt out, what do you think is the problem?

    You've checked the motor so we assume that you have electrical test equipment.

    Have you checked the power supply to the fan, any relays not working?

    Thermal overload or thermal fuse as an educated guess!
    Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

    some mitsi units condenser fans wont cut in if the thermistor has gone kaput . And always check if you have the right voltage to your fan

    i checked the fan with seperate power, it is running but noisy, that could be the reason, on bigger machine we have fault code and it is easily identifiable in this machine it is harder to find out exact faulty part.

    this one has one control board and one pc board assembly(cooling only) and a micro switch.
