    Osaka A/c

Anyone got any info on Osaka A/C units? Got a cassette unit, hardwired remote control, keeps switching itself off intermittently. Not sure if timer built into controller activated. Lost for ideas, any help appreciated.

    Hi mate,
I have not worked on an Osaka before. Have you checked the drain/pump as this is the most common fault with air con units switching themselfs off.

Thanks for reply. No condensate pump fitted(not even internal lift pump).

There might not be a pump, but is there a float switch?

If this is activated and water is not flowing away then it will shut down the unit.

After a few hours water will dry up and you will be able to switch it back on again.
