    Compressor Query



    Are there any compressors you can theoretically reverse rotation and still maintain compression?

    Yes, any three phase piston compressor; however you would need to check the oil pump for correct rotation on those with a pump.

    The commercial 3 phases pistosn (Bitzer, Copeland, Bock,..) can run in both directions.
    In the oilpump is some sort of a locking pin which makes this possible.
    It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

    YES, PISTON COMPRESSORS OF bOCK MAKE CAN BE OPERATED IN EITHER DIRECTION.THESE COME WITH REVERSIBLE OIL PUMP.
