Old evaporator
I frequently meet old evaporators and condensers.How can I estimate their refrigeration power.Can I conclude something over pipe size and surface area.

G'day Renato
Might want to count the number of passes also.Will get you fairly close to where you need to be.
If it is a condenser coil you could oversize it and cycle the fan to maintain correct condensing temp.

I wont to recognize is it 5kW , 8kw or something else.Becose some owners of markets have 10 or 15 old condensers and they want to use them insted of buying new ?The same is and for evaporators!

If the evaporator has an expansion valve fitted and you know what it was evaporating at.........you are there.

If I know TEV I stil dont know wich evaporator to chose from old on the stock becose I dont know the EVAPORATOR CAPACITY!
