problem with signal receiver
Hello my friends.
I have a problem with an a/c and to be more specific the unit is not receiving the signal from the remote control.
I suspect that the problem lies with the electronic part on the circuit board that accepts the signal from the remote control.
How can I check if it is still on operation?
What measures should I do?
Can I use an other type of this electronic part?
Thanks in advance..

Re: problem with signal receiver
test the remote operates by pointing it at ur camera phone and pressing the buttons, you will see the infra red eye flash- as for testing the receiver, dont know but they should be relatively cheap

Re: problem with signal receiver
the a/c is not a famous one..probably it is made in china.
I do not know what the result would be in case I install an universal receiver.

Re: problem with signal receiver
Some units require a minimum remote sensor distance of 20 feet.Walk closer to the unit and try the command again. If there is any furniture in front of the unit or in front of the unit interface, move the furniture out of the way.If the remote control is close enough to and pointed at the unit, but still fails to operate, the batteries inside the remote control might be too weak to serve the appliance.I am sure you got the solution.Thanks.
