Re: losing oil an d alot of back freezing
Maybe liquid is entering the compressor and is foaming the oil...? Are the compressors connected to the same circuit / expansion device?
To make progress is never good enough, I want to do better and better and better

Re: losing oil an d alot of back freezing
Sandro Baptista mentioned one possibility but there are others and we need more data.
Are these compressors in parallel and share refrigerant? If so, do they have oil level regulators installed?
For one to freeze you must have lower pressure in that one, measure suction and crankcase pressure in both compressors and post it.

Re: losing oil an d alot of back freezing
liquid flood back most likely cause. Is this a build-up chiller? Is it piped equal-distance? If these compressors are common to one circuit is the compressor loosing oil the lead compressor? Need more specific info to assist further.
