Shell and Tube Condenser in level with a Receiver
Hello All,
I kindly ask you to help me on following matter
We have R404A installation with a rack of 5 piston compressors, with oil separators, oil level regulator...One shell and tube condenser with water regulating valve and a receiver. This installation also has 5 cooling rooms which work indipendently of the compressor rack.
Is it possible to install shell and tube condenser at the same level as a receiver. Receiver is horisontal type with connection on the top of the receiver. This means that pipeline from condenser goes up to the receiver connection. Shell and tube condenser has around 15% reserve in capacity. Will this arragment cause operation problems?
Thanks a lot.

Re: Shell and Tube Condenser in level with a Receiver
Its not wise to it it like that because u are going to loose to much condensing area in your cell due to liquid filling up the condenser.
Rather take out the receiver and install a cell and tube condenser that are dual purpose as a reciever and condenser.THE BEST WAY OF LEARNING IS TO DO IT YOURSELF!!!
