    Air conditioning refrigeration temperatures

    hello,

just wondered if any one knows if their is a standard temperature pre and post compressor? or is it just a certain temperature above ambient?
    any info greatly appreciated

    cheers

    Hi Dave
It depends on the application. Discharge temp (with a touch probe) on fridge kit will be about 50-60'c and you could expect anywhere between 60-80'c on AC. If it gets above 100'c then you are looking at burning out the compressor at some stage.

Low side temps also depend on the application.

    Re: Air conditioning refrigeration temperatures

Since compressor deals with evaporated refrigerant, pipe temperatures before and after compressor depend on saturation temperatures and amount of suction superheat and heat gain from compressor motor. Discharge superheat is related to suction superheat.
Saturation temperatures depend on TD and ambient temperature.
Suction superheat = evaporator superheat(useful) + (pressure drop from evaporator to compressor and heat gain at that relation converted to unuseful superheat).
Depending on application, there is wide range of superheat values.

Your question is not clear. Please, elaborate litle more.

As for air-cond, terget condensing temperature (Tc) around 40 to 45 DegC and Evaporation temperature (Te) around 0 to 5 Deg C regardless of refrigerant characteristic, pressure might different but target temperatures should be same.
