5 door reach in freezer top 2 shelves are warm

I have a problem with a 5 door reachin freezer and am not sure how to procede. It is either frozen or low on 404a.

the defrost termination is a tstat and continually terminates the defrost unless i remove the wire from the x tereminal on the timer. a 8145-20 timer.

I have some bubbles in the sight glass

I think the dogs has something to do with it.

Perhaps because the number of doors are uneven.

Visually inspect the evaporator coil to see if it is frozen.

Make sure all of the fans are working.
