can someone please help
coldroom freez up all the time (134a) . i am not sere if the exspasion valve is set corectly, how do i set it?

brille , please provide more information so we can help ... we really like to help , but some info is needed , like suction pressure , discharge pressure , size of the room , prduct cooled etc...

What is for you the reason why you suspect the TEV for ice-building up of the evaporator?
I can think right now of ten other reasons!
If it's a Danfoss, open it complete counter-clockwise and turn the spindle afterwards 3.5 turns clockwise again.
But then, what have you adjusted with turning on that spindle you think and what if your problem isn't solved (it will be not solved, that's for sure)
It's a lot more complicated then you think.It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

There lots of reason why it freezes.
Is it fully freezing? or is the fins just frosting up?
does it frost back?
more infomation is definitly needed:eek:
