SuperHeat Setting
Hi All,
Got a bit of a debate going here about setting superheats.
Case:
Evaporator temperature (converted from pressure)
-24 Celsius
Temperature at the bulb -20
Is that a correct way to set 4K superheat or should the temperature at the bulb be -28??

Found this on the sporlan/parker site

Basically if you are evaporating at -4C for example which you have determined by taking the pressure at the evaporator outlet and converting that pressure into temperature with a pt chart, you then take the temperature at the outlet and compare the two, say its 3C then you have 7K superheat. Its K for Kelvin as its a difference in temperature and not an actual temperature.

It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
