Re: Car a/c condensers
You could try Autoclimate in Shrewsbury, Motorclimate in Birmingham, Euro car parts or Autoair.

You could try http://www.fastcool.co.uk , I haven't dealt with them but it's worth a shot.

Re: Car a/c condensers
Another place is where they crash cars, tons of good spare parts, and very cheap.

Re: Car a/c condensers
Hi Guys,
I have just had a friend phone me, He has a Chrysler Neon 2.0i 16v on a T plate. The local dealer has just quoted him £1000 to replace a leaking condenser. Apparently they just top it up and it lasts a couple of weeks before it looses its gas (COWBOYS)
Does anybody know where to get the drop in leak seal, i told him i would give this a try but i didn't hold up much hope of it working but its worth a try against £1000 repair
If anyone finds a good dealer of car condensers let me know
Regards
Fatboy

Re: Car a/c condensers
Hi Guys,
Just been on the SRW website. They have two auto a/c fixers called Airco Seal Pro Automotive leak sealer
www.srw.co.uk One is just for rubber seal repairs and the other one is claiming to seal small holes in condensers and evaps. If they work by finding moisture i assume you would have to purge system with ofn, vac out and then install in system.
Would like to hear from anyone who has used this
Regards
Fatboy

Re: Car a/c condensers
Nooooo!
Dont touch that stuff
The last thing that it will seal is the leak. I tried 12 treatments some years ago and it cost me a fortune getting that crud out of the system and replacing driers.
Expect to pay around £130 + VAT for a new condenser plus fitting, lubricant and recharge, but this is a DIY job.
A grand?? No wayKarl

The cheapest place for condensers in Stoke on Trent is Applied Radiators in Hanley. Call them on 01782 281628.

Hi, not sure if these guys can help http://www.vacs.co.uk/ but in the past they have been pretty good with supplying compressors, maybe another lead forward..

Its good that leak sealing kit was brought up i was thinking of giving it a try on a kia people carrier...

Re: Car a/c condensers
Chris, the Kia Sadwaggon is a piece of cake, check condenser lower RHS, pad connections on drier, pipe from drier under steel clips and rear evaporator, all are common fail points on the Sedona.
Have funKarl
