    help!!

    i have installed a chigo cassette (KFR75QW : Ceiling Cassette (27000 BTU/HR),
the compressor will not come on, it did briefly for a minute or so,
standing pressure was 10 bar , when compressor came in (heating) pressure climbed to 20 bar , compressor cut out and pressure lowered to 12 bar and stayed thier.

    does anyone recognise this problem.

    Re: help!!

Problem seems to be that something is wrong with the unit or the install.

We assume that the unit is running on R410a refrigerant but that is just a guess.

Are the valves open, are the fans running in and out?

    What happens in cooling?

well i never had a problem with install in the past, the fan spins, yes its 410a, valves are opening, system did same thing in cooling as it did in heating, 10 bar standing rise then fall

What did the suction pressure do in each mode?

    Re: help!!

i attached high side of gauge to suction port for obvious reasons, when in cooling the standing pressure was ten, when compressor eventually came in suction pressure began to fall, then less than a minute later it rised to 20 bar. in heating it did the same but compressor came in for less than a minute.i cannot pump down system to check for possible blockage because compressor wont come in, but saying this the pipe run is on 6 meters and i really cannot see how pipe run could be blocked, i am also waiting for tech serv to contact me, but if i can get the help from more experienced engineers here i'd appreciate it

    Re: help!!

    of course brian,
the unit came with 6 metres of pipe i added another two metres for install, I had to add 50 grams per extra metre,I have never had to do this before for such a small amount of extra pipe run, i suppose you get what you pay for,
    thanks brian and gary

100grams of reduced refrigerant level caused such issue?

Should people with no experience in what they are doing be installing or working on kit?. Makes you wonder

    Re: help!!

I did RTFM, nothing was mentioned about this being an issue, like i said u get what u pay for.
exotic! yeah i was miffed, thats why i totally overlooked this, i usually install daikin fujis mitsu's and never had a problem where such a short amount of extra pipe.
refaircon! i take it you knew everything when u first became an engineer yeah? and what makes you think i have no experience,
