    Chilled Water Mains

    Hi guys,

Sorry if it's a pain, just trying to prove a point to someone...

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a mains chilled water distribution system (with connections to evaporator and CHW pumps) run in copper?

    Any replies would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bash

Very often done in the UK.

Easy to work with. Lower friction factors. Less pre-commissioning flushing and after commissioning less water treatment.

    Re: Chilled Water Mains

If by "mains" you mean "tap water", no. But chilled water in general were very frequently done with press-lock copper. Nowadays PE pipes are more frequent and less expensive, though.
