Re: trane RTAC Chiller
hi all , do modern w-chillers have a temp sensor to detect if a cc heater has been on, or if the oil is hot enough?

Re: trane RTAC Chiller
hi again, yes these units do monitor oil temp and will prevent starting until correct temp is reached.

Re: trane RTAC Chiller
Hi, Max oil temp is 93°C. If the female is not loaded and the oil temperature is near cut out then CH530 energize female in order to decrease oil temp till 77°C. As a rule of thumb normal oil pressure, when female is loaded, should be approximately 1Bar below high pressure. Specifically the oil pressure is controlled by the following formula: {(High Pressure – Oil Pressure) / (High Pressure – Low Pressure)}. When the female is energized the result which generates a low oil flow alarm is 0,25. When the female is not energized the limit is 0,5. The refrigerant level can vary from -1” to +1” (-25,4mm to +25,4mm). Normal operation is at 0mm. The normal approach for this kind of evaporator (Falling Film) is about 1,5°C.
Hope I help.
