    Samsung AQV18VBAN

Had this unit fitted 3 weeks ago , when it is on cooling mode for a while and the unit is then switched off it leaks water from the right hand side, gravity drain is clear and has a good drop on it and unit is dead straight on wall, anyone shed any light on it , drain also looks okay not cracked

update : only seems to leak if the unit has been left to run at coldest setting , when switched off it leaks water from right hand side.

    Hi Davie, welcome.

You say the drain is clear, does this include the drain tray and drain tray outlet?

Does the coil look as though it is frosting or icing up when running?

no coil looks normal when it is running , I don`t know if we are using it wrong ,what we have been doing is running it at 16 degrees waiting till the room is cool then switching the unit off and after a while it leaks from the right hand side.

You could try using the controls more reasonably.

Setting at 16°C when 16° is never going to be achieved does not make sense.

Set the control to 20°C and let the unit control the room temperature on it's internal control. If 20° is too warm then knock it down a degree at a time until you reach the comfort zone.

You haven't said whether the drain pan outlet is clear.
